Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) TV-regularization can be used to decompose any natural image into a structure image and a texture image.
We proposed a novel image coding method that is coding separately these images.
We make a compaction image that has all texture patterns.
Then the compaction image is divided into structure image and texture image.
Then, the encoder sends the compaction structure image, texture image and input structure image to the decoder.
At the decoder, original-size texture image is synthesized from compaction structure image by matching the compaction structure image and the original-size structure image.
