[Special Talk] Trends in Energy Minimization by Graph cut
Hiroshi Ishikawa (Nagoya City Univ.) MI2010-45
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Graph cuts are energy minimization methods for finding optimal labeling of each pixel of an image by minimizing a function, called the energy, defined for such labelings. In medical imaging, it is related to, e.g., noise reduction and segmentation. Here, we describe the basics of graph cuts and then introduce some of the recent developments on the technique.
