Several works on end-to-end delay space dimensionality argue that delay space has from 7 to 9 dimensions. To support this argument authors normally use extensive simulation study and only a small set of real-life active measurements. In both cases, the data is almost always complete, that is, delay is known for all combinations among nodes. In reality, however, a major portion of the data may be missing because some nodes may be unreachable for various reasons. This paper analyzes how the incompleteness of measurement data affects dimensionality of the resulting delay space. |
