(in English) Recently, the development of the energy efficient equipment is driven by environmental problems and the energy resource depletion problem. The energy loss associated with the motors and the transformers is a huge amount, and it is necessary to execute the efficiency improvement on these devices in order to decrease the global environment stress. For these devices, an analysis means for which the magnetic process by the domain observation is very useful in an amorphous strips and the flat rolled magnetic steel sheets. However, there was a problem that the size of the device was large and the evaluation over a large area was necessary. We have developed the Kerr effect microscope that can promptly evaluate the magnetic district structure of micron order. This time, we applied the basic technology established in the Kerr microscope optical system to the focused optical system. As a result, we developed the wide viewing domain imaging device witch can observe the magnetic domain of the mm order, and can detect the direction of the magnetization.
