“Survivability application experiment” was begun as one of the applications that effectively used the broadband communication capability of the Wideband InterNetworking engineering test and Demonstration satellite “KIZUNA” (WINDS). By using the wireless ad-hoc network with the WINDS satellite access nodes such as transportable earth stations or VSAT, the Internet connection in the stricken area can be restored immediately. NICT started the demonstration of the survivability application experiment. |
