A sparse decomposition method for mixtures of periodic signals with varying envelopes

(in English) This study proposes a sparse decomposition method for mixtures of periodic signals with varying envelopes.
Periodic decomposition methods have been proposed to decompose a signal into a sum of periodic signals.
In order to reduce a redundancy of the decomposition result, a sparsity prior has been introduced in the sparse periodic decomposition.
The sparse periodic decomposition has been applied to speech representation and separation.
In existent periodic decompositions, the envelopes of the decomposed periodic signals are constant or piecewise-constant.
However, the envelopes of acoustic signals usually varies along with time.
In this paper, we introduce the periodic signal model with periodic signals with time-varying envelopes to improve the approximation accuracy of the source periodic signals in a mixture.
The proposed method decomposes a mixture into a set of periodic signals, of which envelopes are represented by amplitude vectors.
An additional penalty term of the envelope is added to a cost function, which are sum of the sparsity penalty and the approximation error.
We also propose a decomposition algorithm that minimizes the cost function.
In the experiments, decomposition results of mixtures of synthetic periodic signals are demonstrated.
