An approach of band expansion of receiving signal for measurement by ultrasonic is discussed. To acquire a receiving signal with a higher signal-to-noise ratio and a broader bandwidth, non linear frequency modulated transmitting signal is proposed. Non linear frequency modulated signal is a signal with an identical amplitude and a spectral amplitude property compensating for the unevenness of the receiving signal brought forth by the ultrasonic transfer function containing majorly the sensitivities of transducers. However, owning to the limited pulse width of the non linear frequency modulated signal, the compensation of the transfer function is insufficient. In this paper, adjustment method of compensation function is studied experimentally. The result verifies the efficiency of the adjustment to some extent. |
