Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We constructed an individual identification system using three-layered neural networks with a back-propagation learning algorithm. Voice signals were pre-processed by Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Moreover, to clarify a necessary feature in the individual identification, the sampling frequency has been decreased. From the results, the rate on convergence to the number of hidden layer units is effective for the reduction in the number of input layer units. Therefore, the decreases in the number of input layer units, namely the decreases of the sampling frequencies are thought to be effective for the identification systems.
