| (in English) | We have conducted researches on platform construction for ITS, utilizing RFIDs such as the position detection system for vehicles. This paper shows the result of experiment on the characteristics of RFIDs. From this result, we recognize the concept is effective and the issues to be solved are clarified. For example, there is a certain degree of correlation between received signal strength on the receiver placed on (in) the vehicle and distance between RFID and vehicle. On the other hand, relationship between received signal strength and distance cannot precisely be defined as any function. By making detailed analysis, we found that the 3/4 of the measured distance is within 50% error and exclusion of the outliers (the data that have large distance from the great mass of other data) is important for improving measurement accuracy. Furthermore, the experiments on some road shapes were carried out and the result shows that there is no significant difference between each road shape. | |
