A comparable study on time domain signal separation and equalization schemes on MIMO frequency selective channels

(in English) In this paper, as a novel receiver structure for single carrier spatially multiplexed communication schemes on frequency selectivity MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) channels, we have proposed the LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) coded Sequential Equalizer (SE) with MLD with iterative decoding, which compensates for the Inter-Antenna Interference (IAI) and the Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) in a time-domain. In order to cancel the ISI, it also utilizes the reliable LDPC decoded outputs fed back to the ISI canceller. The proposed time domain SE with MLD makes the sequential and sliding processing over the ISI duration. The LDPC decoded bits are also iteratively fed back to the ISI canceller to generate the high precision replicas for ISI cancellation. Through computer simulations, we have compared the BER characteristics of the previously proposed MIMO-MLSE, the exiting MIMO-SC/MMSE and the conventional MIMO SC-FDE receiver, those are all LDPC coded at the transmitter side.
