A Proposal of a Network Layer Protocol in New Generation Networks

(in English) We are proposing a 6-layered network architecture for the New
Generation Network (NwGN).
In the 6-layered network architecture,
this paper proposes a network layer architecture called
{\em Z Network Architecture (ZNA)} and a network layer protocol
called {\em Z Network Protocol (ZNP)} which is based on ZNA.
ZNA employs ID/Locator split to support mobility and multihoming.
ZNA allows heterogeneous network layer protocols to be used in the
network to make it possible for various types of nodes to be connected
to the network.
ZNA realizes ``Internetworking with a Common ID space'' with
ID/Locator split and support of heterogeneous network protocols, i.e.,
it makes it possible to specify the target node with its ID to
communicate with the target node
even if
the network layer protocol used by the target node is different.
We implemented a prototype of ZNP in the user space of the operating system
and made sure that the fundamental functions work correctly.
