Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, decision-directed channel tracking (DDCT) techniques have been investigated for OFDM systems in order to compensate for fading fluctuation in high mobility environments. When the DDCT is applied to OFDMA systems, it becomes important to consider the combination of DDCT technique and a proper resource allocation method. The authors have proposed an adaptive resource allocation method suited for an OFDMA system employing a DDCT technique. The purpose of this paper is to apply the proposed method to an OFDMA system with adaptive modulation and evaluate the achievable throughput performance. Computer simulation results show that the proposed resource allocation method is effective in improving throughput performance of OFDMA systems with adaptive modulation in a high Doppler frequency condition.
