Performing LLR (Log Likelihood Ratio) before Soft Decision Viterbi Decoder improves accuracy of error correction.
However, up to now, in 4-Ary FSK Wireless System used by Terrestrial Mobile Communication the LLR can not be performed due to the non-linearity of the frequency discriminator (FD) employed in FSK Demodulation.
In this paper, we propose an LLR method by that considers non-linear characteristics of FD and present the performance improvement of 4-Ary FSK Wireless System. |
