Simplified SAR Measurement Method Using Lightweight Human Head Phantom

(in English) Simplified SAR measurement method is needed for the legislation on local SAR for cellular phones. In this report, simplified SAR measurement method using a lightweight human head phantom made of a radio wave absorber is studied. First, electrical parameters of wave absorber are determined so that electric field strength of lightweight phantom on the surface is equal to that of liquid phantom. Electrical parameters of wave absorber are determined so that reflection coefficient of lightweight phantom is equal to reflection coefficient of liquid phantom with transmission-line theory and the parameters is verified to be applied with a dipole antenna in proximity to phantom. Next, the availability of the proposed measurement method with the lightweight phantom is verified. The estimated surface and internal SAR of the proposed measurement method is compared to those of the standard method. Finally, the peak spatial-average SAR by the proposed measurement is estimated.
