How Simple, Light Weighted and Low Power Drain Design Can Fetal Monitoring Front-End Electronics Be.
Yasuhito Takeuchi (Kagoshima Univ.) US2009-116
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Clinical fetal monitoring has already abut 30 years or more history since it was endorsed by practice with ultrasound Doppler method for fetal heart rate measurement. However to date, no major progress or breakthrough has been seen in engineering and/or technical aspect of this domain, although automatic diagnosis, telemetry, trans-network operation, etc., are proposed with fairly affordable success. In this report author proposes, with experimental background data, some of possible breakthrough in the front-end signal acquisition instrumentation technology, mainly by co-riding to general purpose electronic equipment such as PC. Hereafter a very realistic talk will be given, down to piecewise resistor, capacitor, transistor level technology.
