As a power supply for next generation's mobile device, the Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) has been paid attention because of the theoretical density of it is ten times or more than that of the lithium ion rechargeable battery. In general, DMFC generates electric power through reaction of the methanol-water solution and oxygen in the atmosphere. However, the concentration reduction by the reaction and the activation energy by heat influence the power generation characteristic greatly. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the supply method of the fuel and air. However, the evaluation by the actual measurement value is very inefficiency. Moreover, its development cost is very expensive. In this report, the half cell simulation model was constructed for bellows type DMFC that can supply the methanol with stability in a uniform density. At the same time, power generation characteristic of bellows type DMFC was examined. |
