Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Analyzing three dimension movement of the chest is useful for the diagnosis and the treatment of disorder
deeply related to the respiratory function such as COPD. In this paper, using thoracic 4D-MRI data which are available using
the method that we had proposed before, the chest motion is analyzed. Concretely, the lung surfaces especially diaphragms
were first extracted. Then the amplitude of motion along the body axis and the time giving the lowest position at each point on
the diaphragm were visualized. The analysis was applied to nine subjects including both healthy volunteers and patients, and
the dynamic features were clearly displayed.
