Liver transplantation surgery is used as a final treatment option for those people with serious liver diseases. Extraction of hepatic blood vessels and liver segments would help surgeons at surgery planning. Before transplantation, both of donor and recipient are scanned with a CT scan. Surgeons use its resulted images to estimate liver volumetry , hepatic blood vessels structures and analysis, liver sections, and hepatic duct. But, those images aren’t clear enough. At this paper, we propose a method to extract portal and hepatic veins, and simulate liver segments based on them using contrast enhanced multi-slice CT images. |
