This paper proposes an automated abdominal organ segmentation method based on similar image searching and deformation. In our method, we build database that stores CT images and corresponding label images. We select a CT image from the database which has the most similar shape of segmentation target organ to an input CT image. Then, we apply deformation to this most similar CT image so as to be fit to the input CT image, and we obtain a target organ region. Experimantal results using the proposed method showed that the accuracy of the method were 76.5\% in liver, 57.0\% in spleen, 22.4\% in cholecystis and 19.0\% in pancreas extraction respectively. |
