The author has been proposed an automatic chromatic dispersion compensation method that can be constructed at low cost for future photonic networks. Measuring time domain characteristics of high-speed transmission signals is not neccessary on the method, but a signal power in a certain bandwidth of the frequency spectrum is measured, and only the value is applied to feedback control. Therefore expensive measuring equipments are unnecessary, the system is able to be realized very easily. In this paper, some experimental results of the proposed method are described, and its basic performance is also evaluated. |
