Consideration of pitch estimation for consonance noticing each component of musical sound by DFT
Kota Nakamura (Toyohashi Univ. of Tech.) EA2009-108
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, a pitch estimation method for consonance which containing overlapping harmonic components using DFT and template is proposed.
First, the characteristics of the amplitude and the phase of a single tone are obtained as a template by DFT of every period.
Next, a template is subtracted from an input tone and whether an input is a single tone or a consonance is judged.
Experimental results show that proposed method can judge with the correct rate of 87.9%.
