Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this manuscript, the method was reported which the number of packet transmission from the RF tags can reduce while suppressing the reduction of throughput in the RFID reader, even if RF tag provides a infrequently-occurred and large data. In the existing RFID system, the one-way communication tags (Tx only tags) which send a fixed length packet to the RFID reader are used. On the other hand, there are the two-way communication tags, which are used the system that tags send a large packet to the RFID reader. RFID for Tx only tags are not standardized, The user makes use of some RFID systems depending on the vendors. In this manuscript, the RFID reader receives fixed length packets and large packets, and the two-way communication tags divide the large packet and send it to the RFID reader. For the reduction of the number of packet transmission from the two-way communication tags, this manuscript proposes the method of deciding the large packet length dynamically using the number of Tx only tags, the length of fixed packet, and the sending interval of Tx only tags. The result of examination of effectiveness shows the proposed method achieves high throughput in the RFID reader comparing to the method of deciding the large packet length statically, which introduces the reduction of the number of packet transmission from the two-way communication tags.
