Application of PSO to radio channel parameter estimation with SAGE algorithm
Atsuhisa Inakoshi, Hiroyoshi Yamada, Yoshio Yamaguchi (Niigata Univ.) AP2009-170
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a multiple parameter optimization
technique used for optimizating various systems. The PSO can reduce computational load in comparison with that by the maximum likelihood estimation method. The porpose of this report is to apply the PSO to parameter estimation of SAGE (Space-Alternating Generalized Expectation-Maximization) alogrithm and consider initial parameter setting by computer simulation. As a result of the simulation, effect of the PSO on computational load reduction by SAGE is confirmed with suitable initial parameterset.
