Pol-InSAR image analysis by using modified volume scattering model

(in English) In recent years, microwave remote sensing attracts attention as a means to observe large surface area on the earth. Especially, precise classification can be realized with polarimetric observation due to diverse polarimetric scattering characteristic of the surface. Model based decomposition techniques have proposed for the classification technique. However, since there are so many unknowns in the models therefore several assumptions should be applied in the decomposition. As a result, estimated component powers sometimes become negative. The authors have extended the decomposition technique to Pol-InSAR data sets, and proposed ESPRIT-based decomposition technique. By using the technique, a suitable volume scattering model can be estimated among potential candidates. However, we needed a better volume scattering model as the candidates. Recently, the modified volume scattering model has proposed In this report, we adopt the model and evaluate effectiveness of the model for ESPRIT-based decomposition.
