[Invited Talk] E3 Cognition Enablers
Vincent Merat (NEC Technologies UK) SR2009-88
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Targeting the increase of the efficiency of heterogeneous wireless system management, the European Union project End-to-End Efficiency (E3) builds on cognitive system and self-organised principles and aims at exploiting reconfiguration and self-adaptation capabilities of networks. The targeted system implements the whole cognitive loop where each network node discovers its environment, decides on the optimal configuration, executes the reconfiguration and learns from it. This presentation shows some of the E3 results, focussing the description of three cognition enablers (cognitive pilot channel, cognitive control radio and sensing) aiming at supporting network nodes in the process of discovering their environment.
