Unbalanced Fed Inverted L Antenna on a Finite Conducting Plane

(in English) In this paper, the unbalanced fed inverted L antenna within a finite conducting plane is proposed for the antenna of WiMAX. Two types of inverted L antennas composed of the semi-rigid coaxial cable or the coplanar waveguide (CPW) are analyzed numerically and experimentally. Although the antenna height is less than 0.056 wavelength, the reasonable impedance is obtained by adjusting the length of center and outer conductors of coaxial cable or CPW. In the numerical analysis, the electromagnetic simulator WIPL-D based on the Method of Moment is used.
