Playback system of high-definition video contents and super resolution near-field structure (super-RENS) ROM disc corresponding to 50GB capacity per layer are described. The playback of 4 channels of high-definition video contents was successfully demonstrated on high-definition television (HDTV) displays at the data transfer rates of 72 Mbps using the super-RENS ROM disc. High potentiality of super-RENS technology to realize high density optical disc system beyond BD was confirmed. |
