Consideration on the Characteristics of Small/Thin Antenna with 2 Kinds of Relative Permittivities -- For UWB/WiMAX Applications --

(in English) In recent years, the miniaturization of the antenna built into telecommunications equipment etc. is strongly demanded along with the rise of the concern of a personal communication and an ubiquitous communication. As one of methods of the miniaturization of the antenna though it is thought to use the high relative permittivity material, the band characteristics narrows, and the improvement is expected in the antenna that needs wideband characteristics such as UWB and WiMAX. In this paper, we propose the improvement method that uses a partially different relative permittivity material to the high relative permittivity material for this problem, and present the simulation results as to the characteristics of this antenna by FDTD method.
