Proposal and evaluation of prediction method for readability of Web articles with Self-Organizing Maps

(in English) In this article, we proposed and evaluated a prediction method for readability of Web articles with Self-Organizing Maps (SOM). We focused only on number of characters per line and line-feed-width among web contents for web readability. And we experimented about web readability with paired comparison method. We generated SOM maps from paired comparison scores, then we calculated concordance rates of prediction data for web readability. As a result, we confirmed that in a certain range, appropriate number of characters-per-line is 32 and line-feed-width is 1.5 times.
