Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We have been trying to develop an objective evaluation method for effectiveness of directional technique in TV program contents by investigating attended areas gained from the eye-gaze distribution of the viewers. In order to acquire a large amount of gaze data from many viewers effectively, we developed simultaneous eye-gaze tracking system for multiple viewers. The developed system enables not only to collect eye-gaze data of 5 viewers in parallel but also to allow the viewers wider head motion without sacrificing the accuracy by incorporating high-resolution wide-view camera to the system and processing the trimmed both eye images independently. In this paper, system configuration, processing algorithm and performance of the system are described and the results of the eye-gaze data analysis are also introduced.
