[Poster Presentation] A Study on Interference Suppression Scheme based on multiple symbol periods for UWB MB-OFDM Systems

(in English) Ultra-WideBand (UWB) systems have recently gained popularity for short range high rate communications. UWB system may cause serious interference to the other wireless communication systems whose spectra overlap the UWB band because it makes use of huge bandwidth. Therefore, we have to get to Detect-And-Avoid (DAA) technologies which detect the other systems and control the transmit energy of the UWB devices not to interfere with the other systems. In this paper, we propose a new scheme to suppress interference in the other systems using weighting factors based on multiple symbol periods for UWB Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MB-OFDM) systems. Our proposed method can effectively suppress the emission energy in interference band using several frequency carriers out of available carriers with a slight degradation of transmission efficiency. By computer simulations, we show performances of the proposed scheme in comparison with conventional schemes.
