| (in English) | Recently, person identification with surveillance camera images is required. However, facial pose of a person in surveillance camera images often differs from the facial pose in an image database for person identification. Therefore, it is difficult to identify a person in the image. In this report, we propose ``View hallucination'' that is a method for transforming facial poses in an image. It facilitates human identification by aligning the facial pose in an input image to the facial pose in an output image using view hallucination. The proposed method transforms an input to different facial pose images. The images are transformed by patching small image patches selected from a massive number of facial poses of facial images. In an experiment using real face images, we input facial images with a pose of±40$ degrees (yaw) and transformed them to a frontal face using the proposed method. The result of applying person identification to the transformed frontal face images, showed an identification rate of 89%. |
