Network Assisted Uplink Transmission Power Control Method for Home Base Station in LTE-Advanced

(in English) This paper proposes a network assisted uplink TPC (Transmission Power Control) method for home base station, called HeNB (Home eNodeB), which TPC is performed based on the network signaling between HeNB and macrocell base station, called MeNB (Macro eNodeB), to maintain the interference to MeNB from UEs (User Equipments) served by HeNB (referred as HUE) within the MeNB coverage below a certain threshold in LTE (Long Term Evolution)-Advanced. The results of system level simulation show that the proposed network assisted TPC can keep the throughput degradation of UE served by MeNB (referred as MUE) at a constant and low level regardless of HeNB density, and achieve high HUE average throughput. The results also show that its cost is the degradation of HUE 5 percentile throughout.
