Various very high throughput (VHT) wireless access systems that target more than 1Gbps throughput, e.g. VHT wireless LAN using microwave band, have been extensively investigated for next wireless standards. Spatial division multiplexing, frame efficiency improvement as well as use of larger bandwidth are considered to be probable methods to achieve the target throughput. However, larger bandwidth causes shortage of available frequency channels so the interference among multiple cells will most likely to be a significant problem. In this report, inter-cell interference (ICI) problem in IEEE802.11ac is clarified by our measured data. In addition, spatial multiple access in overlapping cell is presented as one of the possible ways to mitigate ICI effect. Its effectiveness is confirmed by computer simulations. |
