Electrical life of Electromagnetic relay (EMR) depends mainly on contacts. Besides material and appearance of contacts, breakaway velocity and bound of contacts associated with cooperation of electromagnetic force and spring force are also very important to electrical life of contacts. EMR has dozens of accessories and its fabrication technology is very complex. So the influence of parameters fluctuation can not be ignored. The difference of contacts material and contacts appearance among same batch relays is clear at a glance, but the difference of breakaway velocity and bound of contacts caused by parameters fluctuation should be studied further. This paper focuses mainly on initial breakaway velocity of contacts, collision velocity of contacts, and collision velocity between armature and yoke. The effect of parameters fluctuation on above mentioned dynamic characteristics is studied by the processes of virtual samples construction and statistic analysis etc. Then the reliability of EMR is estimated according to certain failure criterion, and finally quantificational description of relationship between parameters fluctuation and reliability of EMR is accomplished. |
