Epileptic-seizure-induced structural change of functional network in electrocorticogram

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We investigated structural changes of functional networks of electrocorticogram during ictal, preseizure and interictal states of epileptic patients.
We found that the degree of node at the epileptic focus grew in the ictal state, suggesting that the functional networks could change the structure in the ictal state.
We also found that the functional network in the preseizure state showed random graph property, but those in the state didn't.
Thus, super-cynchronous epileptic seizure could be induced from random network, which tended to be highly synchronous.
