SpaceWire is adopted in the next generation of scientific satellites in Japan. SpaceWire user group are formed in Japan to exchange information and experiences. Architecture for new satellites are discussed in the user group. Modular and scalable architecture is applied to small satellites to large satellites. The PULL architecture simply avoids congestion of data traffic and assures system scalability. The system, which is also scalable from test setup to full satellite setup, is easy to be tested and maintained. On this architecture, additional flow control mechanisms are introduced for each mission. |
