Harmonic-termination technique is often introduced to RF high-power amplifiers in order to boost its efficiency. At the same time, a harmonic-rejection filter is also employed to suppress the harmonic emission from the amplifier. In this case, a low-reflection property in stop-band is required to the filter, in addition to a low-loss property in pass-band, so as not to interrupt the harmonic termination in the amplifier. However, most of the microwave filters consist of reactive elements, and it is impossible to realize the low-reflection property in its stop-band. To address the problem, a reflection-absorptive band-rejection filter (BRF) is proposed in this paper, which consists of a dual-band Wilkinson power divider and a pair of conventional reactive BRF. Furthermore, a circuit-synthesis tool of a dual-band impedance-matching network consisting of commensurate transmission lines is also presented, since the design of the dual-band Wilkinson power divider attributes directly to the synthesis. |
