Admission Control Scheme using Receiving Opportunity Control for Wireless Multi-hop Network

(in English) QoS control is one of the most important issues of the wireless multi-hop networks. The authors previously proposed a per-flow QoS-control scheme for wireless single-hop LANs, ROC (Receiving Opportunity Control in MAC Frame), in which the access point (AP) intentionally don’t return ACKs for some of data frames. This paper proposes a scheme to guarantee QoS of high priority flow in wireless multi-hop networks by performing the admission control by using ROC. Edge APs perform ROC against low-priority flow according to the buffer utilization at network nodes, and the proposed scheme suppresses the inflow of the low-priority packets. Simulation evaluation results show that the proposed scheme guarantees QoS more effectively compared with conventional schemes.
