Digital watermarking is a copyright protection method by embedding watermark data in the digital contents.
In this work, we propose the correlation-based image watermark method based on smoothing.
First, the original image is smoothed by the 2-D digital filter and we obtain the smoothing image in advance.
Next, we decide the weighting function of watermark signal based on the smoothing image.
Thus, the watermark signal is embedded so that the image is smoothed. If the image contains a Gaussian noise, the noise will be removed by the watermark signal.
Finally, we show the image is smoothed when the watermark is embedded and the proposed watermarking method is effective for noise reduction. Also we confirm the robustness of the proposed watermarking method against JPEG compression. |
