In polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (POLSAR) observation, it is known radar cross section (RCS) is small and the polarization orientation angle is shifted in oriented urban area with respect to the azimuth direction.
Polarization orientation angle shifts induced by oriented urban areas in the azimuth direction can be estimated from POLSAR data. This report presents the results of laboratory experiments on the oriented urban area using four-component decomposition with deorientation. The experimental result shows detection ratio of urban areas is increased by using the new four-component decomposition with deorientation. |
