We successfully fabricated a high-speed optical vector modulator for over 100 Gb/s signal generation. An electric-electric frequency response originating from a substrate mode-coupling is improved by using 0.1mm-thick LiNbO3 substrate. The optimization of the modulator structure realizes a lower half-wave voltage of the modulator. We demonstrated 100 Gb/s (50 Gbaud) NRZ-DQPSK modulation and 90 Gb/s NRZ-DBPSK modulation. |
