80 Gbit/s OTDM multiplexer with stabilization of phase difference between adjacent optical pulses

(in English) Phase difference between adjacent optical pulses is stabilized by means of stabilization of a delay interferometer (DI), which can be considered as an optical time-division multiplexed (OTDM) multiplexer. A continuous wave (CW) tunable laser, where the wavelength is different from that of the optical pulse, was used to stabilize the DI. We applied this stabilization scheme to an 80 Gbit/s (2 x 40 Gbit/s) OTDM multiplexer. In the experiment, we have confirmed that the variation of the optical spectrum for both RZ and CS-RZ output was suppressed with temperature change between 15 °C and 35 °C.
