関係データベースにおいて,データベースの構造が劣化した局所空間に対して再編成を行うことにより,再編成実行時間を大きく削減し,空間全体を再編成する場合とほぼ同程度の構造回復効果を実現する部分再編成手法が提案されている.本論文では上記の特性に着目し,部分再編成手法を考慮した場合の,関連の費用を最小とする最適なデータベース再編成間隔を解析的に求める |

The response time and the processing time are big problems in the processing time of various online and batch systems. Especially, the access efficiency of the database should be greatly controlled as for the speed of the processing time of the system that accesses the database
As records are inserted far from their logical position and deleted records occupy valuable space. Then, to cover the weak point of the database, we execute the database reorganization to achieve a good performance requirement for the application. The purpose of the database reorganization is a process that changes the physical storage and the structure. There are two types of purposes of the database reorganization: The purpose of physical reorganization is to optimize the physical storage of the database and to change the database structure . When we partially execute the reorganization to the space to which interval times between the structures of the database are deteriorated, the database reorganization execution becomes long. When we adopt the partial database reorganization, the same degree of the structural restoration as the case to reorganize the entire database is achieved. Recently, such a partial reorganization technique is proposed by the manufacturer. In this paper, we consider and discuss analytically the optimal reorganization intervals policy for given various database restructuring costs. |
