A method of microwave heating in reprocess of tar-seal has advantages of high energy efficiency, suppression of the deterioration of asphalt materials, down sizing of machine etc. comparing with conventional technologies. However, microwave distribution is sensitively affected by the cavity size and shape, and therefore it is necessary to carefully design the heating machine shape to achieve high efficiency heating of asphalt. This paper presents numerical analysis of FDTD simulation and mode analysis by using Mathieu function for design of microwave heating cavity. |
