Power Division Characteristics of a 4-Way Power Divider Using Impedance-Transforming Branch Line Couplers

(in English) A four-way power divider consisting of three impedance transforming branch line couplers and two interconnection transmission lines is proposed. The power division characteristics are calculated under the condition of line length of the interconnection transmission lines and impedance transformation ratio. The results in case of quarter-wave length interconnection transmission lines and higher impedance transformation ratio are thought to be useful for combining outputs of high power amplifiers or for communications in a narrowband system.
