To realize high-capacity access network, 10Gbps-class next generation PON (NG-PON) standardization has been discussed. The NG-PON is required to satisfy the loss budget as same as deployed optical distribution networks and to coexist with the legacy PON system. In this paper, we described high-power 10Gbps burst transmitter and 1G/10G dual-rate burst optical receiver, which are the key devices for NG-PON. |
