In this correspondence, a method of obtaining maximum length period sequences obtained from nonlinear feedback shift registers (NFSR), which is known as De Bruijn sequences, is proposed. The proposed method produces $r$-ary De Bruijn sequences by means of combining several short sequences generated from $p$-value shift registers and linear feedback functions, where $r$ is an integer greater than or equal to two and $p$ is a prime number. The number of obtainable De Bruijn sequences by using the proposed method is also obtained. |
