Microwave phase accuracy of optically controlled phase shifter for array antenna

(in English) We demonstrated highly accurate and very stable phase characteristics of microwave/millimeter-wave phase shifter for optically controlled array antenna experimentally. However, measured phase seemed to include measurement error due to switching time of phase shifters for relative phase measurement. In this report, we experimentally studied measurement error in order to obtain more highly accurate and very stable phase characteristics. First, we measured microwave phases by changing switch time of phase shifter for optically controlled array antenna using coaxial switch. Relation between switching time and standard deviation of measured phases is precisely studied. Second, we also measured microwave phases of receiving phased array with LD temperature control. Very stable phase characteristics with LD temperature control are clarified in the phased array antenna, too.
