| (in English) | Recently, next generation network called ``NGN'' has been in service. On the NGN, bitrates of speech does not have to be reduced so much, as a result, a low bit rate speech coding, viz., CELP or iLBC used in Cellular phone or Skype, does not have to be used. One of the candidates is MPEG-4 ALS lossless audio coding standardized by ISO/IEC. The MPEG-4 ALS offers a lossless audio compression by means of an entropy coding of LPC residual signals for input audio signals. The ALS is effective not only for a Digital Archive of audio or biomedical signals but also for the speech communication. In this research, a robust complex time-varying AR (TV-CAR) speech analysis is applied to the ALS instead of the LPC analysis, in which the complex parameter is converted to real-valued autocorrelation function via calculated one-side power spectrum, and then the LPC coefficients are calculated by Levinson recursion. Experiments are carried out with 8KHz speech signals corrupted by white Gauss noise or Pink noise. |
